With things heating up this weekend - our attention turns to our pets and concerns about keeping them cool. With Omlet, you're in safe hands - our climate-controlled coops and run covers offer some solace, but we do have some top tips to beat the heat and keep your flock healthy and happy.

Chilled bottoms

Offer relief from the heat by placing wrapped ice packs inside the nest box for them to sit on - this allows them to cool down through their feet and legs.

Stay hydrated

What's growing in your garden? Share fresh fruit with your girls and pop it in a caddi treat holder - keeping them hydrated whilst cooling their bellies and wattles.

Happy feet

Place a paving slab or flat stones, in some cold water making it easily accessible for them to cool their feet.

DIY AC

Misting or spraying the ground or your run will help bring the temperature down.
