People around the world stand against the destruction of the Amazon. 9 in 10 people believe that deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is a serious global problem [1]. Stepping aside while this continues goes against what we all already recognize as wrong. The Amazon is home to over 10% of all known species of plants and animals on Earth, with much still left to be discovered, and the damages could be irreparable if the destruction continues [2]. Letting the Amazon collapse violates the shared belief that we need to protect nature. The call is clear: join millions of people around the world demanding an end to the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.
In November, leaders from around the world will gather at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, in the heart of the Amazon. Greenpeace will deliver thousands of messages collected from people everywhere to show the strength of global support for forest protection.
Your voice will join a growing movement already filling an interactive map with messages from every continent. Add yours today, and together we can demand that world leaders take real action to protect forests.
friend, the Amazon shapes our future. Will you step up and tell political leaders to protect it now?
